Title: Cocktails with Shochu, the Spirit of Japan

Description:

Familiarize yourself with the incredible range of flavor and aroma of the Japanese national spirit, shochu. Learn the basics of shochu and how to best use this unique spirit from one of Chicago's top mixologists and shochu expert at the highly acclaimed Kumiko cocktail bar. This demo will especially be of interest to bar programs wanting to incorporate lower proof spirits, East Asian flavors, and/or savory elements in cocktails. While shochu is the main focus, we will also touch on some applications for similarly utilizing sake in cocktails as well.
