Born in New York, his early fascination with seafood cuisine has been a cornerstone of his career. After traveling the globe, Tompkins ultimately chose Los Angeles as the base for his visionary venture, Broad Street Oyster Company, launched in 2017. Initially starting as an innovative roaming pop-up Broad Street Oyster Company proudly opened its flagship store in Malibu, CA, in 2019. The brand quickly garnered acclaim for its distinctive blend of high-quality seafood offerings, notably its renowned lobster roll enhanced with sea urchin and caviar. With its unique concept and dedication to excellence, the company has expanded its presence along the California coastline, adding esteemed locations in Grand Central Market, Santa Barbara, Huntington Beach Pier, and most recently, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco.
