Lynnette Marrero

Co-Founder of Speed Rack, MasterClass host, and award-winning bartender / Liquid Creative Director, Aplós / Partner and Chief Mixologist, Delola

Lynnette Marrero’s career began when she accepted a job at NYC’s Flatiron Lounge. Marrero quickly transitioned from cocktail server to bartender and knew that the spirits industry was her calling. She shifted to bartending at restaurant bars starting at Freemans then to consulting and designing bar programs. After her stint at Freemans, she transitioned to the brand side and spent two years with Diageo as an Ambassador for Zacapa Rum. She later returned to working at bars and created Drinksat6, to help cultivate a new generation of cocktail bartenders and elevating the bar at restaurants.  

Marrero helmed the opening and became Bar Director at New York hotspots The Llama Inn and Llama San for over 6 years. Marrero’s awards include being honored by JBFA as one of America’s Leading Female Mixologists 2009, named Food & Wine and Fortune Magazine’s Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink in 2015, and Wine Enthusiasts’ Mixologist of the Year in 2016. In 2019, Marrero received the Tales of the Cocktails’ Spirited Awards World’s Best Bar Mentor and the inaugural Philanthropy Award for her work with Speed Rack. She placed in the Drinks International Bar World 100 from 2019 - 2022. Marrero launched the Masterclass.com Mixology platform and was named the 50 Best Bars Altos Bartender’s Bartender for 2021. Her bar program at Llama San placed in the semi-finals for JBF Best Restaurant Program 2022, and Regional honoree for the 2022 Spirited Awards for Best Restaurant Bar. 

Other notable projects Marrero’s has worked on include: creating the bar program for Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream, being the National Brand Mixologist for Perrier Sparkling Water and San Pellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages, and working with Zacapa Rum team as their trade educator and mixologist, and is the liquid creative director for the non-alcohol drinks company, Aplós.

Lynnette launched Delola, a line of ready-to-enjoy world-class crafted spritzes, she developed in partnership with Jennifer Lopez.
