Arthur Carl II
Arthur Carl II is the Vice President of Culinary at IHOP, bringing over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Known for his innovative approach, Arthur is responsible for driving menu evolution across all day parts, ensuring that guests enjoy craveable, quality dishes. In his role, Arthur leads the IHOP culinary team, delivering best-in-class and award-winning culinary strategies and focuses on ingredient and menu cost optimization. In his role, Arthur brings a passion for creating high-quality hand-crafted meals IHOP guests enjoy every day.
Previously, Arthur has worked with various hospitality groups, restaurants, and breweries including CraftWorks Restaurant & Breweries, The Cheesecake Factory, the United Nations and most notably served as the VP of Culinary and Beverage R&D for Dave & Buster’s Inc. His expertise and passion have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vibe Best Overall: Multi-Unit Chain Restaurant Beverage Program Award and the Cheer Bev X Award for Best Overall Beverage Program in 2022 and the Nielsen BASES Menu Innovation Awards for IHOP’s Thick ‘N Fluffy French Toast in 2023.
Arthur earned his Culinary Arts and Chef Training degree at the Culinary Institute of America.
